Which subgraphs are the most critical for Web3 and why?

This post will be a kind of free reflection on a given topic.

I already wrote in my previous post about my vision of the future WEB 3.0 Also, in my Twitter, I gave my brief vision of why the graph is critical for WEB 3.0: https://twitter.com/LeopoldHeg/status/1339320417924902917?s=20

Now I want to discuss the question of which subgraphs will be in the most demand in the nearest future.

Of course, the existing layer of subgraphs for decentralized finance and decentralized governance will continue to play a significant and huge role. I will not dispute this fact at all. However, if we try to see a future, in my opinion, the next layer of popular subgraphs will be around the NTF industry (it can be art or the gaming industry or even both).

That is why I came up with the idea of creating an art collection dedicated to some of the representatives of the Graph team, and also tried to develop a subgraph for the Axie Infinity game during the 3rd phase of the Graph curator’s program.

The first evidence that my views are not wrong are already beginning to emerge. For example, the Dragonereum game project is using the Graph: https://thegraph.com/blog/blockchain-of-dragons. Also, ENS (domain names project, which is very close to the area of NTF) is using subgraphs as well.

According to experts, the gaming industry will only expand in the coming years, and I am sure that the Graph and subgraphs will play an important role in this, at least in crypto.

I’m curious what do YOU think about the near future of subgraphs?
